Boro stitching is an ancient Japanese tradition that uses the sashiko stitch to reinforce and mend a textiles item. Traditionally used on existing garments, it was used to cover worn areas with scraps of textiles – this ecofriendly ‘waste not want not’ approach can be used to create a funky and unique items.
Learn about the sashiko stitch and work with the most gorgeous vintage and traditional Japanese textiles to embellish a zipped case.

Age range: 7 to 14 yrs. Preferably able to thread a needle.
