Join NZ based contemporary embroidery artist Fleur Woods at Green Door Studios to enjoy an inspiring weekend of creative stitch. Everything is supplied so all you need to do is simply turn up ready for a fun, relaxed and inspiring weekend of creativity.
Over the course of the weekend we'll work together to create your own beautiful textural embroidered artwork. Techniques covered will include punch needle, a variety of stitch techniques, hand building elements to stitch onto your artwork, beading and more. This workshop is playful and suitable for any ability.
Stitching is naturally a slow craft and we'll embrace that while we slow down to connect with nature and explore stitch in fun and modern ways.
This workshop will support you to explore a sense of creative freedom while giving you all the skills you'll need to keep making. Generous materials and tools will be supplied and also gifted to take home.
A weekend is ample time to finish your textural piece so for those of you who love to finish a project it's a wonderful way to do that and for those who are more ambitious there's potential to continue creating future projects at home.
