The Komebukuro or rice bag, is a wonderful hand-stitching project, with a fascinating Japanese history and context. During the class, participants will learn what "BORO" really means and a range of Japanese hand stitching and bag construction techniques. Antique samples are available for inspiration as we take a journey into Japanese stitching.
Everything is included in this workshop for you. Just bring yourself. (If you have just done the Shibori/indigo dyeing 2 day workshop immediately proceeding this one, you may want to bring some of your work from there)
